DESCRIPTION:The second annual Alzheimer's Symposium\, held April 30th at the Mayborn Civic Center\, will equip caregivers with the resources they need to tackle the daily challenges of dementia.\n\n \n\nThis free event is open to the public.  Attendees will hear from experts in fields central to dementia care\, including: \n\n\n	Gene Silverblatt\, elder law attorney\n	Viki Kind\, clinical bioethicist and author of: "The Caregivers Path to Compassionate Decision Making: Making Choices for Those Who Can't"\n	Dr. Rozena McCabe\, PhD\, owner and CEO of Fitness for Brain\, Body\, and Balance\n	Dr. Ron Devere\, Neurologist\n	Representatives from local support groups\, respite programs\, and community health agencies\n	Steve Catoe\, Memory Care Director\, and certified Validation Therapy Worker\n\n \n\nThe Alzheimer's Symposium is co-hosted annually by the Alzheimer's Association Capital of Texas Chapter and Sodalis Elder Living.  The event will be held from 8:45am   2:15pm on April 30th at the Mayborn Civic Center (3303 N. 3rd Street\, Temple\, TX).  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
