Included in the book are accounts of Native American fights and massacres that plagued early settlers\; post-Civil War violence\; capital murder cases\; and the December 26\, 1932 murder of 27-year -old Doyle Johnson in Temple by Bonnie and Clyde.\n\n\n\nRick Miller is the current Bell County Attorney\, and is also a prolific writer of outlaw history. His book is based upon contemporary newspaper accounts\, government records\, census lists\, and other primary sources to bring the most accurate\, authentic information to light. "Unlike traditional county histories\," he said\, "these are the stories that grab the reader's attention and reveal the tragedies that accompany the triumphs of community growth."
