SUMMARY:Grandmothers Quilt Show
DESCRIPTION:Do any of the quilts in your closet have a railroad connection? Are they at least 50 years old? If so\, the staff at the Railroad and Heritage Museum in Temple\, Texas\, would like to talk to you about exhibiting your quilts in the museum?s first-ever Grandmother?s Quilt Show to be held April 11-13\, during Temple?s Bloomin? Fest\n	?Grandmother?s Quilt Show will be a non-judged event in which we will display quilts from the museum?s own collection as well as accept displays from the general public\,? explained Judy Covington RRHM executive director.\n	?Our main stipulation is that the quilts must be at least 50 years old\, but we will give special recognition to quilts with a railroad connection. All quilts have a story and we want to share those stories. If we possess quilts that are over 50 years old\, they are part of our heritage and we should be proud of them\,? Covington said.\n	?Remember ...?\, she stressed\, ?quilts that are 50 years old are not expected to be in perfect condition! The frayed corners and the tears help tell their stories.?\n	Quilts will be accepted for display 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, Tuesday\, March 11 through Friday\, April 4\, in the museum office. They will be displayed for viewing in the gallery of the museum\, April 11-13\, and can be picked up 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, April 15 -18.
