DESCRIPTION:The Bell County Museum announces a watercolor workshop with artist Joan Hoffman\, scheduled for Saturday\, November 15\, 2008\, from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. The class will teach watercolor technique basics\, and how to paint a landscape scene. A fee of $10.00 per person will cover supplies\, and pre-registration is required. Mrs. Hoffman began painting in 1974 and trained under several of America's top watercolor artists. She has been teaching small classes to members of Salado Village Artists for several years. Some of her awards include the 2002 John Carter Spirit of Central Texas Award\, and the Best of Show Honors at the 2005 City Federation of Women's Barclay Juried Show. In 2006\, she was the winner of a statewide competition by the Texas Commission of the Arts to have her artwork on the state's new heirloom birth certificates and commemorative wedding certificates.
