The Bell County Museum has scheduled a Christmas ornament workshop for Saturday, December 10, 2011, from noon until 4 p.m. Visitors will be able to make their own Christmas ornaments to take home and place on the Christmas tree.
Troy Gray, program coordinator for the museum, said, “This year, museum visitors can make two different ornaments. The first one is a little bear that is made from a twig wreath, plaid ribbon, and lots of pompons! The second is a wishing spool ornament. Youngsters – or adults – can color a wooden spool, write down their Christmas wish list, and then attach it to the spool. Holiday refreshments will be served.
Hot Christmas punch will be served as well as cookies. The event is free, is open to the public, and is a great opportunity to create a lifetime family memory.
The Bell County Museum is located at 201 N. Main Street in Belton, TX. Hours are noon until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free and guided tours are available. For more information, call 254.933.5243.
