Day for Women

The Temple Daily Telegram’s 9th annual Day for Women presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors will be on Saturday, February 16th at the Mayborn Civic & Convention Center. This exciting event sponsored by Precious Memories, Extraco Banks, Salado Glassworks and Tex Appeal Magazine is from 10am – 4pm.
The event will feature a catered luncheon from 12 pm – 1 pm featuring Patricia Walsh. Her talk entitled “The Unexpected Leader: Defying Perceived Limitations” will inspire the audience. Walsh is an accomplished engineer, a world-class athlete, a successful entrepreneur, and is also blind.
Also on the schedule for the day, a fashion show by Susan Marie’s of Salado, fitness demonstrations, and more!
Tickets are on sale now and are available at the Temple Daily Telegram (10 South 3rd Street), online at www.tdtnews.com, and at Precious Memories (1404 South 31st Street). Tickets to attend the luncheon are $20 and include admission to all exhibits. General admission is $10.
Door prizes will be given away throughout the event, but don’t miss the Grand Prize Give-away* sponsored by Salado Glassworks. We will be giving away an iPad to one lucky attendee.
