June and July
Bell Fine Arts
306 East 5th Ave.
Belton, TX 76513
Bell Fine Arts is pleased to announce that JANIS HOLMES is our featured artist for the months of June and July.
Art as a creative diversion has been a favorite of Janis Holmes. Her working career was in sales as an original partner in Re/Max Realtors in Temple. She then felt called to serve as the Executive Director of Christian Farms Treehouse for a number of years.
Having met her future husband, both as members, of the Texas Tech Debate Team; her pre law degree led to marriage and not to law school. Enjoying being a stay-at-home Mom with four small sons included plenty of arts and craft projects. Time and opportunity offered private art lessons and various painting workshops. Gardening and a love for God's Creation made floral paintings and landscapes favorites. Oil painting gave way to acrylics for faster drying time after a few mishaps with pet hair and bicycle tracks in the oil paint.
Extensive travel always included wonderful art galleries and gave inspiration to try watercolor, pastels and jewelry making. Art classes with George Prater for several years at the Cultural Arts Center in Temple were very helpful.
Membership in Bell Fine Arts for over twenty five years has been so satisfying. The membership spans all age groups and types of art expression including china painting. This diverse group meets weekly to paint, draw, critique and exchange ideas. Workshops and exchange of ideas keep the "creative juices" flowing.
Come see the art works of JANIS HOLMES each Wednesday 9AM until 2PM. Bell Fine Arts is located at 306 East 5th Avenue in Belton. Membership is open to all visual artists and those with an interest in promoting visual art. Membership dues are $30 yearly.
