Model Train Display

Description

The Railroad and Heritage Museum in partnership with the Central Texas Model Railroad Association will host a large 24? x 48? foot modular G scale model train layout in the lobby of the Museum during Temple?s Bloomin? Fest weekend. The layout will feature three fully operational trains with both diesel and old time steam engines, some with sound and smoke. This layout also includes a yard with over 50 pieces of rolling stock. Locomotives will be pulling everything from a modern container train to an old time logging train. Adults and children alike will also enjoy viewing meets with other trains on one of three passing sidings. This layout will be operating both Saturday, April 12 between 10 am- 6 pm and Sunday, April 13 between 12 pm- 5 pm.
