Tuesday, November 15, will mark the opening of the Quintessence art exhibit in the Arla Ray Tyson Art Gallery of the Townsend Memorial Library on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus. The exhibit features work by senior UMHB art students Susan Powell, Jenna Hansen and Gwen Barnard.
Each of the featured artists has created works to represent a part of themselves and their histories. The exhibit is meant to be an embodiment of a lifetime of experiences shown through art.
The Quintessence exhibit will be on display through December 5. A special opening reception will be held Friday, November 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (800) 727-8642.
