Wild Horse & Burro Adoption
Description
Description: The U.S. Bureau of Land Management offers wild horses and
burros for adoption. These are animals that once roamed free on public
lands in the West where they are protected by Federal law. Excess animals
are periodically removed from the range and made available to the public.
Application approval is required. Minimum adoption fee for most animals is
$125.
Location: Bell County Expo Center
Date/Time: Oct. 22-25
Thursday (preview): Noon - 6 p.m.
Friday-Saturday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Auction Friday at 10 a.m.; First-come-first-served afterward for remainder
of weekend.
