Chrome & Carols Festival of Trees

This year, The United Way of Central Texas will be conducting a Christmas Tree Fundraiser on Thursday, December 1, 2011. The event is titled ‘Chrome & Carols Festival of Trees,’ and it will be held at Horny Toad Harley-Davidson in Temple. One-hundred percent of the money raised at our Christmas tree fundraiser will go directly to helping local Central Texans in need through our agencies.

The night of the event there will be 10 Christmas trees, including decorations and presents, raffled off to be taken home immediately. In other words, it is a turn-key Christmas for those lucky winners. Each tree will be underwritten by local companies and will have a different Christmas Carol theme, which will reflect the business sponsoring it. Tickets will be sold to guests the night of the event and then they will be able to place their tickets in the raffle boxes of the trees. Hors d’oeuvres will be served by the Hilton Garden Inn, along side a cash bar. Holiday entertainment will also be provided by the Funk Factory. It will be a casual, fun and exciting event for people to relax and enjoy themselves.

The United Way of Central Texas is a local organization that has been providing services in the Temple/Belton area for over 60 years. We fund 27 local agencies that provide health & human services ranging from pre-natal care to providing for our senior citizens. These agencies provide a safety net for our community and touched over $60,000 last year. In addition United Way is also very active in forming partnerships and collaboration to bring the entire community together to find lasting solutions that change people’s lives.
